Altruist is entering an exciting phase of growth, and we are on the hunt for a Head of Consumer Marketing to help us fulfill our mission to make financial advice better, more affordable, and more accessible.

This person will be tasked with owning all consumer marketing activities at Altruist, defining breakthrough strategies across the full lifecycle, and managing a team of consumer marketers to bring it to life.

This person will be responsible for driving consumer acquisition, ensuring that we are reaching the right people, with the right message, at the right times. The right candidate will be data-driven with a strong background in performance and lifecycle marketing.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute cutting-edge consumer acquisition, nurture, and retention strategies that help Altruist punch above its weight amid a landscape of deep-pocketed competitors.
  • Help build and lead a team of world-class consumer marketers.
  • Define our channel mix and ensure efficiency. Quickly scale new channels as needed.
  • Create a compelling vision and roadmap for growth. Evolve and invent new investment strategies as we grow. Partner with our user research teams and insights providers to defend our strategies with data.
  • Deliver business impact by driving product adoption, and deliver personalization at scale through the entire lifecycle.
  • Manage end-to-end planning and execution of marketing programs - from marketing briefs through channel planning and execution. Oversee reporting and optimization to better understand segment/campaign performance, and to develop insights to inform future initiatives and strategies.

What You'll Bring
  • 7-10 years of experience developing marketing programs that scale, and a track-record of driving business results through effective multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Experience and understanding of finance or the finance industry is a plus. Demonstrated interest in personal finance is a big plus.
  • Analytical and structured thinker who can conceive salient ideas from complex information and clearly communicate those ideas to stakeholders.
  • Experience with analytics and data tools.
  • Takes as much pride in seeing their team win as they do in seeing themselves win.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo, while seeing the positive and opportunity in challenges.
  • Experience developing content-centric marketing strategies that balance paid, owned, and earned tactics.
  • Experience building a team. You'll be responsible for hiring a consumer marketing team that scales alongside our business.
