Job Description

Mission:

The Marketing Operations Manager position is to help Bill.com take its next step in Marketing Automation and our MarTech strategy.  This position will partner closely with Marketing, and Sales Operations to create process, automation, clean data, analytics, with a lens of creative problem solving. This is an execution focused role that will require being able to build from concept, to minimum viable product, and progress to best-in-class solutions.

Professional Experience/Background to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-3+ years of experience in revenue based positions
  • Experience developing in marketing automation platforms - especially Marketo
  • Experience with the marketing technology ecosystem
  • Experience with CRM systems - especially Salesforce
  • Experience in FinTech or the financial/accounting industry a plus

  • A proven track record of building new campaigns and workflows, and processing leads
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well cross functionally

Expected Outcomes in 3, 6, or 12 months:

Within three months

  • Understand our value proposition and customer segments - via our New Hire Training Program, research, and interactions with key stakeholders.
  • Understand our Marketing Automation platforms - e.g. Marketo, 6sense, Drift, SFDC 
  • Support campaigns with operations and lead processing
  • Understand our GTM strategies and customer segments
  • Develop good working relationships with Marketing Operations teams
  • Identify opportunities for improvement around Lead and Data management.
  • Understanding of key metrics and driving cross-functional alignment on KPIs

Within six months

  • Become a full swing member of Marketing Operations team
  • Execute on large quarterly projects
  • Have launched and seen results from initial opportunities identified

 

Within twelve months

  • Achieve mastery of our systems and become the go-to person for Marketing Operations designs
  • Achieve mastery of MOPs systems, lead scoring, and customer lifecycle processes 
  • Shown material impact from initial opportunities
